The Balancing Act: Leveraging Current Technology vs. Exploiting Emerging Technologies
Roger Smith hosts a thorough discussion covering every aspect of technology and its deployment. Matt Simmons of Simmons & Company International is joined by his peers, including Mike Bahorich of Apache, Bruce Crager of INTEC Engineering, Tom Fry of the National Ocean Industries Association, John Gibson of Paradigm, Neville Henry of Buccaneer Resources, and Andy Willis of Protiviti. They will debate what exactly is happening in technology, converse on overcoming risk aversion, and discuss the policies, both corporate and political, that surround deployment. Each shares his thoughts on what the biggest challenge in technology is today.
World Energy Television addresses the issue and calls in the experts—the CEOs and business leaders themselves—to compare their ideas on what works best. Viewers gain valuable insight as practical experience and good business theory are exchanged in candid dialogue. “There is no doubt that this is the most technologically advanced industry on the planet,” says Executive Producer Richard Loomis, “but with rising commodity prices and ever-greater technological challenges, we need to get over our fear and aversion to risk so we can develop new technologies and deploy them. This program digs into this important issue.”
